At Word Alive Worship Center we believe:

Jesus is...

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day, He physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He remains at the right hand of God Almighty. (Matt.27:35-28:20, John 19-20, Col.3:1)

The Rapture

When the Rapture (catching away) occurs, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then those who are alive and remain (those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior) will be caught up to meet Him in the air. (Lk.17:26-36, I Cor.15:50-54, I Th.4:13-18)

What is Faith?

Faith is believing in and acting on the Word of God. (Lk.6:46-49, Jas.2:17)

Jesus' Authority

In the authority of Jesus' name and the power of His holy blood to save and deliver mankind and defeat the works of darkness. (Jn.16:23, Phil.2:9-11, Col.1:14, Heb.9:14)

Divine Healing

In divine healing—the restoration of health to those who believe and act on the truths written in God's Word. We further believe that Jesus is our Healer and that by His stripes we are already healed. (Is.53:5, Matt.8:17, Acts 10:38, I Pet.2:24)

After Death...

After death, eternal life begins either in heaven or hell. Where you spend eternity is based on your decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. (Matt.7:21-27, Jn.3:16; 14:6)

The Bible

The Bible was written by men who were inspired by God. (2Tim.3:14-16, 2Pet.1:19-21)

Water Baptism

In water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. (Matt.28:19, Acts 2:38)

Indwelling Holy Spirit

In the indwelling and baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:5; 2:4; 19:1-6)

Tithes & Offering

Tithes and offerings should be freely given to your local church. The local church is the place of membership where God has called you to receive His Word on a consistent basis to grow spiritually. (Mal.3:8-12, Lk.6:38, 2 Cor.9:6-12)

Giving

In giving alms to the poor, sick, homeless and others in despair. (Mic.6:8, Matt.25:34-40)

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and buried. The third day He arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

*The word “catholic” refers not to the Roman Catholic Church, but to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ
